I installed a new valve cover gasket set, throttle body gaskets, and BISS screw.
Now when I drive the car and hit boost it makes a higher pitched sound. Kind of sounds like a blown turbo sound. But obviously its not because its still pulling and holding boost.
The outer throttle body gasket had a small tear in it and is probably not sealing correctly but I used it anyways since its the only one I had until I can order another one. If there is excess air leaking out the throttle body (post plate) would that cause a high pitched noise under boost?
When I start the car I can hear air hissing there so I know the leak is bad.
Just curious. And no I didn't do a boost leak test yet since this is the first thing in the morning. I know there is a leak there.
