I recently purchased a valve body from IPT and installed it on my car. Once everything was in and ready to go I took the car out for a spin. I was driving the car for about a half hour, getting off and on it enjoying the new shifting (shifts extremely fast now) then all the sudden it just dropped out of gear and I coasted into a near by parking lot. I tried selecting all of the gears but the car would not go into any of them. All of them act as if the car is in neutral. I believe that the manual valve has come disconnected. I was not a 100% sure how it went in there in the first place. Does anyone know if this is the problem and if it is, how can I get the manual valve in there correctly? Just for everyones info, I want to give a big props to IPT. The valve body was great and there service is excellent. Extremely fast shipping on their part. Thanks IPT.

Call john. Dont waste any time with this (online diagnosis) and just shoot him a ring.

Sounds like it could definitely be the manual valve. Contact John ASAP.

Off-topic, but in one of your past posts you said you were getting a P1750 Solenoid error, and having tranny problems. Did you end up replacing them? Did it fix your problems? I'm having a slight problem and have that same trouble code. I'm trying to figure out wether this is going to fix my problem or not before I go spend $200 on something I don't need. Thanks

I would clean the solenoids before I would buy anything.

Any news?

Last time we spoke, it seemed that the shifter felt disconnected from the trans.

Did you drop the pan and take a look yet?

-John

Probably going to do it tomorrow. I am unfortunately stuck without a garage so I need to wait for this crappy Ohio weather to break. Soon as I drop it, you'll be the first to hear. Thanks for the help.

Something to add. I went by today to pull my car home with a friends pick up truck and decided to start the car to see if it would be any chance go into gear. I started it up and sure enough, all the gears were selectable! I put it into drive and the car started to move about 20 feet and then just fell out of gear again. No gears were selectable again. Was like once the tranny warmed up a bit it didn't want to go. I tried adding fliud to it but it didn't help. Guess we won't know till I drop the pan.

mine does this, but i have Reverse tho, but if i hold the breaks and bring up the rpm, let it come back down it goes into gear, then runs like a champ. I have no idea. does't sound internal, sounds pressure or something, i have the shift kit and endclutches as well. Driving me nuts. I can't afford to take it any where, its ether tear this apart try some things or rip it out for the 5spd swap
