Just need some opinions/answers.
I have my 6 bolt engine sitting in my backyard and it is covered with a few trash bags and some tires. I went to check up on it and I noticed the bags were leaned over to the side...as if someone was taking a peak to see what was under the bags (maybe it was cats, the wind...IDK). The problem now is that rain water has settled in various spaces on the inatke manifold and has sorrounded the injector holes
. The black grommets are still in place, but the injectors were taken out a while ago. How much damage has my negligence just caused me? Keep in mind, the holes are NOT flooded, but I'm sure a few drips got down in there. The motor sits outside and is exposed to all the changes in weather.
A friend of mine recommended I pour a drip of tranmission fluid down into the holes while the motor sits to prevent rusting. What do you guys think about this advice?
I have since covered up everything properly...plugged holes etc.
