Honestly 1200 bucks is a little high. I would see what kind of price you could get if you put it together yourself. It's not hard to put a PC together and you would probably save some money as well.

just about everyone is worth more than our dollar .. there is a reason for it.. there trying to build up our economy.. now other countries can aford to buy our shit. your straight as long as u don't buy somethin over seas

You could get a similar setup for far less than $1200.Just look for an ITX motherboard/CPU like the VIA EPIA, an ITX case and a 12v power supply. The touch pad TFT monitors are available from http://www.xenarcdirect.com/ .The Media engine software is free from www.mediaengine.org I don't even think it is legal for him to sell it.The GPS is available from several places like DeLorme for about a $100.

im all into car audio. let me ask if this could b done if so i'd be verry intrested.. A. mount the cd player in the armrest or (don't they have somethin to play AM/FM radio on computers) mount the computer under the passenger seat or since i am taking out my back seat mount it there and fiber glass the screen in the douple din opening. i think that would look better and nothin would really be int he way

for about 20 bux on ebay you can buy a dlink usb radio device for computers.

You don't want to mount a computer under your seat. You could build up too much heat and run into all sorts of problems. If you are going to run a CPU in your car it needs to be ventilated well.

Chuck, PM me with the plans for that. :)

actually youre wrong. more heat builds up in your dash because of your hvac controls, heater core, and all the electronics in there.

i have my car computer under my seat right now without any problems.

if you even were to look at the math you can see how much a joke it is.

ive been using the converter as well because right now im looking between the two companies and it looks like the foriegn company is better packages, better pricing, and options compared to the one thats closer to home.

but from what it looks like, the dood whose post we hijacked has better prices if i remember right, i have to look over it again, but i think i want this as my next mod.

my price is perfect. like ive stated, try and beat it.. hell, if you do, (which you wont).. ill match it shipped to your door.

furthermore, i never said in my post that i was selling mediaengine. im selling the computer system.

I'm not sure what stuff you are using exactly but , you could piece together a similar setup off ebay for around $850, cheaper if you tried a little harder.

System Price: $1099.99 * Non Touch screen w/wireless keyboard + mouse

I dont know the motherboard but to fit the case and have the ddr fit, youd need the VIA EPIA-M10000 C3 1GHz which already has processor and graphics card. that motheboard is $157 shipped.

Motherboard $157 including 1Ghz processor
RAM $60 for .8" slim required for case
Hard Drive $45 shipped

Thats 539 Shipped for a pc without keyboard/mouse, power supply and monitor. i doubt the power supply will cost the difference in our prices which is $560.99. Let me know if i missed something which i could have.

Those are old prices for old machines. Those machines spec'ed out there are normal sized computers. This one is about the size of a head unit.

Hey, keep in mind that the screen costs around 550 bux shipped. Do more research.

The Lilliput 7" TFT w/Touchscreen is $200-$300.This monitor has a brighter and better picture than the Xenarc anyway. But even if you buy the Xenarc(which is $429 shipped, direct from Xenarc) it still is less than a $1000. http://www.xenarcdirect.com/

obivously you have never used a lilliput or xenarc screen. the xenarc screens are plenty bright.. as a matter of fact people say the lilliput is too bright.

furthermore the lilliput screens suck.. i know many people who have had theirs just stop working.

I have used both of them, the Xenarc is over priced.Either way the Xenarc is $429 shipped not $550 shipped.

As i posted, those specs were all for that specific case, NOT full size specs

$60 60gb hard drive (usb, only one i could find, but if you dont have bluetooth or any access, you need to transfer files anyways) http://www.upgrade-solution.com/detail.cfm?show=yes&PID=356&add=yes

$140 casetronic c134 http://www.axiontech.com/prdt.php?src=PW&item=36221
$119 delorme gps w/ software http://www.laptopproducts.com/local...id/1967/category/specials/limit_by_vendor_id/
exnarc screen, best touchscreen in their product line and overall
$90 legit copy of windows http://store.yahoo.com/computersystems2go/win20proopsyn.html

With GPS and XP, its 756. MOST ppl have or dont need XP and same with gps, but ill leave them in for comparison price. If i was building a pcfor my car though, without those things, it would be $547. I have a monitor, that ran me a total shipped of 130...
Your cheapest package is 1100 and with a 7" lilliput non touchscreen for $150, it would save me $200 over your price
And with the 7" touch monitor for $300 my total would run me 1056 while yours is 1200. Your deal isnt that bad of a price, but on a site where ppl tune their cars, im sure they can figure out how to plug comp parts together. Then again some ppl are lazy so i guess its a good idean to sell them so the dont gotta deal with it

good job dood above

but no ones also mentinot the cost of the power converter.

who wants an outside UISB hD, that should be internal for safety and static, etc.

but im glad he offered to match, i think once im set ill take up on.

there is your price difference! a 60 dollar usb hard drive! give me a break.. ok.. hold on.. youll have a hard drive next to your computer..

try getting a 60gb internal drive.. guess how much they cost? about 160 bux...

there is your difference.. like i said.. match what i have.. you didn't do it.. sorry you lost, game over.. thanx for playing, bye bye now.

again.. i stick by my price.

personally tho, i dont need GPS or Windows XP or a monitor, so im saying for ME, i save money by doing it myself. Adding 100 for the internal HD. im under $100 on your price with the $150 non touch monitor and under $50 on the touch screen monitor deal. Plus i dont need XP or the GPS like i said before so that saves me another 210... I quote my earlier post saying "Your deal isnt that bad of a price," but for me personally, i dont need all the stuff you sell with it and it would be better to configure my own pc... you take offence easily when you shouldnt in the first place
