Some of you may or may not remember me, I researched quite a bit and asked a lot of retarding questions involving turbo'ing a 420a, Okay well to make a long LONG story short, this was about over a year ago, I ordered parts on ebay, they never came, when others did come they weren't the right part and yeah I think I had THE most horrible Ebay experience out of anyone on this forum so I said to hell with it put my car aside and bought a CBR 600 F4i, Well...I want to give this car thing one more shot, I know what I need to order, I need great places and don't tell me Ebay because I cringe when I hear the worst "Ebay" and on top of that, I lost my good job that gave me good money and now I work at Office Depot in Mt. Vernon...I pretty much moved to Bellingham so anyone in this area wanna get together and hang otu sometime, or help me boost my car when I get all the parts, and the correct parts at that, send me a message. Also my dog chewed on my computer and I just got a new laptop so I didn't ditch you guys, I just had a lot of stuff going on, sorry for the long thread but I'm back, any advice even if it may be rude, I wanna hear it I want to do this right. and if you live in this area and are willing to help or even just hang out, please contact me....One more thing. I have a full urethane blitz kit and I sorta grew out of the whole "I'm not cool unless I have a kit" thing and I really REALLY wish I woulda spent 1,100 elsewhere but I'm going back to stock bumpers this summer and I was wondering if anyone was interested in trading me their stockers and a few dollars for my blitz. Wow that was soo random, LOL anyway, you need an Intercooler with all the piping, a turbo of course, manifold to bolt up to the turbo, a custom downpipe, unless theres a kit with one in it, all the necessary lines to run to the turbo (oil and coolant lines, as well as the turbo return line), a modified oil pan so that you can bolt up a turbo return line, a boost gauge, and theres some sort of sensor that you need to "trick" the MAF sensor if you will into thinking that there is no boost, its almost like a thick plate that bolts between the intake and the sensor itself, I believe its called the "missing link"

EDIT: oops I misread, you know what you need, ok well do you just want to buy a kit and do it that way? Check out the N/T parts catalog here and check out the turbo kits they have there. Or you could piece stuff together, I helped my friend turbo his 420A, and he got a turbo from a junkyard off of a 2.3 turbo thunderbird, bought the "missing link" off of the classifieds here, bought an evo 8 FMIC and we made the IC piping ourselves using exhaust tubing and rubber hose bends from the junkyard that were off of turbo'd slabbs and volvos, and we had his friend weld 2 nuts on the inside of the oil pan and drill the necessary holes for the turbo return line, we bought the fittings for the coolant and oil feed lines from the hardware store, and Im not sure where he bought the actual lines for the oil and coolant lines, nor the exhaust manifold, but he had his downpipe made at one of the mexican exhaust shops here. I hope I didnt miss anything and that it helps you.

gott damm! i didnt know those kits costed thatttt much!! you should have opted for the cheaper ebay version:p

it depends...we need to know what turbo you were thinking of, of corse... if you have any mods (pumps, injectors, tuning software, etc...) for a fmic i wouldddd have recommended the ebay ssautochrome (im not sure if they are still doing the "group buy"..i picked mine up in the summer time:cool: ) but if you stray away from there you are going to be paying big $$ for a greddy/spearco one. the piping could be custom done for cheap.

after you price everything together, consider the money being invested in the car compared to saving that money and selling your current car and getting a gst/gsx. it may be worth it to sell your car and pay just a little extra for an already turbo'd car;)
 
Well yeah I wish I would have done the ebay route too, LOL at least with the ki, it was that expensive half because of polyurethane and half because of shipping, as far as the turbo goes I don't have any supporting mods so I'd need everything, I was planning on the turbo, downpip, manifold kit from jhonny racer, remember this was a long time ago I don't remembe sites exactly, I was going to make a return line using the 09808978 threads on how to, ebay FMIC with universal piping set, new injectors from wherever, walbro 255 pump, FMU I beleive 12:1 and I was going to do SAFC but with the FMU I don't think you really need it, I'm not trying to hit low 11's just turbo my car. I think I've got a good idea on what to get, what I need, where to get it, now I just need some paychecks, LOL. and anyone in bellingham willing to help also there's this house down the road I was wondering if anyone knew who they were, I've seen a couple DSM's there but usually just a bunch of AE86's and a silvia every now and then? Off exit 250 in old fairhaven.
