I've been gone for almost a year and a half...my last eclipse was wrecked over a year ago and i'm about to buy a 97 eclipse gs-t spyder with 104000 miles ....any comments?

Miles sound good but personally I went with a Talon since they're cheaper to insure and I like the stock body better, plus the abundance of the all-wheel drive versions seems to be better than if you were looking for a GSX.

Miles sound good? 104k for a 97? That's a crap load of miles. Mine is a 96 w/ 89k miles.

its 7 years old so 104k (higher than some) is still in the average range of 12k-15k a year (barely) and it still has great compression and runs awesome...

Any play in the turbo?
Tranny fluids always been serviced?
Any shaftplay in the turbo?

If it's in good condition then quit worrying about what we have to say and just go buy the damned thing.
