IAC valve system fault

The title of my thread is what code Im getting from the CEL. It's P0505. When using the scanner it told me that there is an idle control system malfunction. The thing is that I havent noticed any problems at all with it idling differently etc. Is there something that really needs changed/fixed or can this be let go for now? How much are they and how hard are they to change out? From doing a search, it sounds as though it is located under the TB, but I dont really want to buy a new one if I dont have to and Im not noticing any problems. BTW...this is on my new 95 tsi, not the 93 in my profile. Thanks.

Yea, the controller motor is right under the TB. Its kinda brownish. They are very simple to get to, I can swap one out in about 2 minutes. Like any sensor/controller, they are very expensive to get new ($100+) but cheap to get used. I've got an extra one from my 2g tb when I swapped it out with a 1g one if you'd like. PM me if you are interested.
