just so it could get up on a lift, and i could see it better. And had a 27 point inspection done....Just to see what they thought was wrong

What was said i needed was
new
Sturts (on the front their leaking)
Brake Discs (for the front)
1 Tie Ron on the front right
1 Hub Assembly on the front left.

Im also gonna just have some springs thrown on, that came with the car when i bought it...

But i just had it all estimated, and he said it would be like damn 800 ####in dollars.

150. for the hub
75 a piece for the struts
25-35 a piece for the Discs
and whatever for the tie rod......

And like 370 dollars for labor....

Id do it my self. but I need my car running, So i need to get it done with out haven it out infront of my house, cause i have class, work, community service....

I dont know if i wanna dump all that money in there, I mean its needed for my brakes, but damn id rather throw 800 bucks in the engine

Does anyone know a link to where I can buy a nice set of after market struts for cheap?

You're buying a 10 year old car. Make sure it's at least in a near-new condition mechanically before modding it. It's not like you just paid the $24,500 MSRP on it. I just spent over $900 on parts alone for my car before beginning any mods. That includes fixing some minor cosmetic things, but I'd rather have it be a near-new car in terms of looks and reliability before modding it instead of throwing cash to mods and have something really go wrong.

dam bro i have a set of kybs gr-2 with only 10k on them but their for fwd though, sorry.Be prepared to pay for someone to do things for ya,labor is expensive. You could do all those things yourself, exept that you might have to have the bearing pressed at a shop for your hub,but everything else is pretty easy to do.I would suggest buying a haynes manual as a guide to solve your'e everyday maintanance stuff, but hey it's your money.i don't know how much money you make, but if it'll cost more then you make in a day, just get the parts and fix it on your day off or take a day off and fix it,no point in loosing twice as much money.

you won't have to have your bering pressed out. find a piece of steel round stock the same size as the hub and knock it out with a hammer. it may take a few hits but it will come out. also your rotors my be able to be machined (turned, cut). many shops will automatically try to sell you new ones and make money on the parts. ask the shop what the thickness and runout measurements of the rotors were. then ask them what the minimum thickness of the rotors was(0.882 in. for front). if they don't know the answers to any of these questions they didn't check.

sounds like what the mechanic told me when I went into get my new talon checked out...Looked and sounded fine, but then they tell me I need a new wheel hub, 2 new rotors that are totally warped right now, one new tire, and a whole bunch of other shit...that was a punch in the face...Well, one day I guess I will just take it in and hand them a check, I'd rather be safe than sorry!

Yeah, But My rotars are rusted to hell ,I got the car from Long Island NY. I guess ill just pay the man, I mean he did help me out alot and go threw all the damn truble. And he said he will throw on my springs for free. But does 800 sound okay to yall?

if 800 includes parts and labor than that sounds good to me. i however would at least do some of the easier work myself, such as the brakes. never just hand someone a check, especially a person you don't know. a better phrase in this case would probably be "better be educated than sorry" if you just hand a check to some mechanic you don't know without asking questions, you are ripping yourself off in a way. check things out and you may be surprised in what you will find.

modding comes after maintenence and sometime the maint will run u dry it sucks

well this guy has done work for my family for awhile. And its not a normal shop, its really like a machanic shop just not some dummy lookin for some cash, I useally just sit around and help. I dont have the supplies to do much my self. and this dude went threw all the trubble to help me out. So im goin to take it. expecially sicne he will throw on my springs for free. But i dont need much mods, my car is good and fast enough for me really. I went from driven an 89 buick centery to this baby. I love it....Happiest day of my life was getting this car....Id like my engine to look better. and get this fixed, and then ill just wait incase somethin go's wrong. But im goood for now i think. Ill prolly get all gready. but shit I beat a Mustang GT last night, i love the feeling from a 55 mph roll. and his ass got spanked.

He isn't doing your springs for free. He has to remove the stock springs in order to replace the struts. You are just making it cleaner for him by having new springs installed during the maintenance.

true, but he still could be a dick and charge me for doin it. But since hes already there, hes gunna just throw them on
