my cousin has a 96 GS. his car is in the shop getting a new tranny put in. he also has a cracked exhaust manifold. he was like "i want some nice looking headers, go check ebay and get back to me". so i checked with my favorite store, and found these headers.

i dont know much about the n/t engine charecteristics, but i know that headers wont help much, but at the cost for a stock manifold being 200+, these seem like a better deal. he knows his car is slow as hell, so hp is not really a big deal, he just wants a replacement that looks nice and, however small, might add a little to his butt dyno.

should he get those headers? some n/t love would be greatly appreciated. :thumb:

they look bad a$$ and i bet they arent much more if any more than stock would cost to replace. You might ask if the guys @ the shop can fix the crack.

As long as he realizes that it isnt going to give him more hp... Go with those... They look decent and are cheaper than stock... Sounds like a good purchase. Unless the guys can fix the crack, cuz that would work too...

They look good to me also, I have ssautochrome, the only drawback to mine are the slip fitting instead of the flange. If the flange is thick(Head side, not flex pipe side) Get it. BTW mine are ebay header also. no probs as of yet, no rust spots nothing all those folks claiming bad fitment are wrong at least in my case. I say get em. :thumb:

PS I also had a cracked manifold, but I didn't find that out until after I started the installation of my header. But mine wasn't just a crack it was a 50 cent piece size hole :thumbdown

yeah he says he wants to get them. so ill prolly order them and tell him it was 200 for the whole shibbang and make some profit off his ass.

i bet it would make it sound much nicer, he has a "bolt on" muffler that sounds all gurgely and raspy , think it will make it better sounding? i hate his exhasut tone with passion, its incredibly crappy at high rpm's, though with his intake its almost like being in a jet at lower rpm's its hard to explain. but when downshifting and the rpm's go down it sounds all raspy, i hope it sounds better. i am also urging him to do a custom header back 2.5" with a N1 style muffler like mine to alleviate this problem.

thanks for the replies.
