Well them gauges should of had a switch that came with them. Since you probably don't have that switch, you can cut the clips off the wires and wire them in to the light switch or similar. But if I'm not mistaken, depending on what type of gauges they are, you will probably have to have the switch that came with them. I believe the switch gives it a specific voltage output. Maybe you could find the manufacture of the gauges and purchase the switch from them.

Them gauges are very similar to the ones being sold on ebay. If I were you, I would find them on ebay and e-mail the seller and ask them if they can be able to sell just the switch for the gauges. Probably called a power distributor or something like that. You'll need the box the gauges plug into, and the switch that turns the box on. I'm pretty sure that's how they are back then when I had gauges like that LOL

What you're looking for is an inverter.
EL GLOW GAUGES INVERTER DODGE DAKOTA DURANGO NEON RAM:eBay Motors (item 250508421871 end time Oct-06-09 23:22:35 PDT)

Just get one of those and wire the power into your dash light circuit.

:ohdamn: so i figured out what to get and i ordered it but now im not sure how to put it in.. the only plugs there are the plugs for the gauge cluster and ofcourse ebay products dont come with instructions because they suggest u take it to a "professional" shop.. :notgood:

Only other wires that should be on the inverter is for battery supply. A positive and a negative wire. Ground the negative wire on a bolt under the dash, and put the positive wire to a power supply such as the headlight switch.
