I recently installed DSS coilovers with Koni Yellow struts and shocks on my 1g GSX. Today I adjusted the ride height on all four corners to approx. 1" lower than stock. I noticed, however, that the passenger side front strut has only about 1" of travel. Is this enough travel? Also, the driver's side front strut has about twice that amount of travel, does anyone know why there is such a large difference when the height is evenly set on both sides?

If 1" of travel isn't enough, how much is enough?

The coilover kit is the roadrace kit from DSS, which, I think, has a spring rate of 450 in the front.

Thanks

If your car is level, but the amounts of available travel are that different, then something is screwed up. (Gee, that's helpful.) 450 is a lot of front spring on a 1G, but I'd still want more than an inch of available travel. Have you contacted what-cha-ma-dingy at DSS? He's very helpful.

I've been trying to get ahold of what-cha-ma-dingy (aka Mike ;) ), but I haven't been able to get ahold of him yet, I'll keep trying though.

well, I got ahold of DSS (not Mike), but I had left a message for Mike earlier. The guy that answered passed on Mikes response to my message which was "they are probably installed wrong", so I'm still at square one. I'll talk to the guy who installed them to see if he can see anything wrong, but he already said he can't think of anything that would cause something like that.

Has anybody has a similar problem with thier coilover sleeves?
