how much boost can this setup handle most effectively?

i have a small 16g turbo, walbro 255, 550s, 2g maf, hard ic piping, upgraded stock sidemount with larger inlet and outlet, and an intercooler sprayer. im getting an afc on thursday and im wondering how much boost i should run. whats the most boost that you guys would run with this setup? i dont want to just be blowing hot air out the turbo so whats the best psi i should tune the afc for. thanks

i also have stock 1g internals and a metal headgasket with arp head studs.

If you don't know how to read compressor maps, you might want to try to find some information on it. I know the VFAQ has a decent page, and there may be information here. If you can't find any, start a thread and maybe we can get a tech article up. It's a good skill to have.

Short answer is around 22-23 psi for a small 16g.

22-23 with that setup??? um, thats a bit too much, stick around 18-19

He didn't give any prerequisites, or any conditions. He just asked "whats the most boost that you can run without blowing hot air out the turbo." A 16g begins to lose efficiency aftr 23 psi.

This is a perfect example of why you need to be more specific with questions.
