I'm sorry to hear about your friend's experience with us. This is definitely not something I like to hear and I take comments like this very seriously. I know each person's perspective of a particular situation is different and I hate to hear about a negative opinion of us, especially when we have such a strong reputation in the Supra community. Supras are cars we build and tune day in and day out - from 400hp to 1500hp. I can think of two situations in our company's history where things have gone wrong and in both, we stepped up and made them right. Customer service is our highest priority and we do whatever it takes to ensure our clients are taken care of. I'm truly sorry to read your post as this is the first time I've heard of this. If you talk to your friend in the near future, please have him call me as I'd like to discuss this situation with him personally.

On a separate note, if any of you have some time to swing by our shop, I would highly encourage you to check out our 1G race car. It's coming together quite nicely...and the sequential shifter is to die for :)

Sorry, I didn't want to take this thread *too* off topic, but I felt I should comment on the situation. Take care, guys!

Everybody has good and bad days. A buddy of mine had his Supra TT up there (Torquefreaks) for a full motor rebuild, they screwed it up twice so he took it home to finish in his garage. If they couldn't figure out how to build a 2JZ (They've only been modded a million times), then he figured he'd be better off on his own (he swears up and down that they're all total idiots). Just figured I'd level the playing field.

I guess you didn't read rule #3 BEFORE YOU REPLY:

No Guesses - if you don't know, don't reply - don't spread misinformation (no "I think" or "I guess" or "I've heard").

Talk about spreading bad information about a great company, without even knowing who you are talking about :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown

Hey, Scott, thanks for the support. I'm in Europe right now tuning a bunch of cars but I called into the shop yesterday and progress was being made on your car :)

However in regards to Bino's previous post, each person is entitled to their own opinion and message boards are a great place to post both positive and negative ones. I realize that this is hearsay, but as I mentioned before, I take situations like this very seriously. We actually get the vast majority of our business from testimonials posted on message forums so I'm definitely in favor of them :) It sounds like this particular situation is one that I'd like to work out personally with the individual involved. Hopefully I get the opportunity to do so.

On this trip, I definitely feel like I could use one. In Amsterdam, I'm doing a pair of Supras and an ST205. All of which have issues unrelated to the tune that take TIME to troubleshoot. Makes for some long days over here :)

Speaking of Torqufreaks, my buddy took his hatch to thhem awhile back because his vtec wasnt engaging took jeff couple of days tops to figure it all out. Now hes running perfectly and we both would never take our cars anywhere else but Torquefreaks. Also i have never talked to such an open staff the guys are way chill and go out of their was to show you around the shop.

Also i am new to the DSM scene, just bought my engine and will have my shell in the next 3-4 weeks, waiting for spring break to pickup.

There have obviously been a lot of good experiences with torquefreaks, sounds like they're a really good company overall. I, personally, would now like to swing by their shop and check out their facilites. Sounds like they've got a lot going for them.

Upon further examination, I probably was toeing the line on Rule #3, my apologies.

I know its not quite Portland, but I'm from the big city of Banks. I'm an ex-redneck turned dsm junkie. The only competition out here is the occasional Chevelle or some kids on their 400EX quads :thumbdown .

I was just running my 1G around the two new traffic circles out by Forest Grove tonight! Never let your guard down...you never know when you will run into another DSM!

Those things are too much fun. I still don't know why they put them there. I like to go back and forth between the two late at night.

Yeah those things were a waste of 9 million dollars, but are hella fun to play around.

I'm from FG, so they are in my backyard.
