is anyone going me and some buddies are making the 5hr drive up so it would be nice to meet some other dsm buddies

I went once in highschool when my car was pretty stock. Right when i drove out of the event there were cops lined up pulling over any car that looked modded and writing tickets.

Now that im highly modded, I will not bring my car to many citys, including San Mateo!!!

Be careful out there! Maybe i'll go but take my daily driver.

im going, Are you the same dude on Gvr4.org? Im Brunoboy there. Yes I am going, I may work the event, I have to talk to my friend that is in charge of HIN Norcal/Socal

yea shane im on gvr4 too hopefully i dont get pulled over but my 4 dorr family wagon isnt a cop magnet

mine looks stock and only special stuff is under the hood otherwise we will be good LOL

Sorry, but California is too strict! Nice state, but im glad i don't live there.

To me HIN is just the same thing over and over. I only went before because I never had to pay seeing as my old promotional crew had ties with one of people running Vision Entertainment. The show is okay, but gets boring to me after a few hours. I would rather just have meets and barbeques instead IMO

yea i never have been and some buddies were like road trip i was like im down so ill be rolling up there in a caravan of a nissan 240sx and 4thgen prelude and my other buddy ight be buying a 12sec gst ill be stoaked for him as he is selling his si to get it

Oh so you've never been to HIN before huh. Well it's always nice to go at least once. Suggestions I have then are make sure to get there early so you aren't standing in line too long, or if you plan to buy your tickets online to get to willcall early since vendors and models get their passes from the same booth (at least that's how it used to be). Also if you are all buying tickets at the door, try to get a hold of the flier and bring it because it usually is good for a few dollars off and also helps out the people promoting the event because most fliers are tagged to certain crews, which is counted at the door.

Also when you get in, hit up all the major vendors for all your free goodies before you start looking at the cars closely so that you beat all the lines for that, seeing as the cars aren't going anywhere. If there is some sort of driving thing going on where you can participate, hit that up as well early because you usually have to fill out some paperwork and get in line for that also.

Make sure to eat something before you get in, the food is overpriced and not that great at the San Mateo venue.

Lastly when you leave, try to plan it so you either leave early or super late. If you leave right when it ends, you'll get stuck waiting in the traffic jam of cars and also cops on high alert. If you leave early, the cops usually aren't waiting outside yet. If you leave super late, you'll usually be leaving at the same time as either the trailer queens or event workers, so the heat will usually have died by them.

Have fun bro and enjoy HIN at least once =D

I also forgot to add, if the event is at the same venue as it usually is at, drive carefully because if I remember correctly the police station is right down the street and you'll pass it going both to and from the event. Also another reason why I said to get there early is so that you get close parking. The farther you park, the more likely something might happen to your car and I'd hate to see that happen. It's usually more of a problem for Honda owners, but better safe than sorry you know.

true LOL sucks for my buddy with a prelude LOL least mine is a 4 door family car

same place. and yes the cop station is down the street.........you need to pass it to get to the freeway if i remember correctly LOL

If you want $5 off tickets when you order online enter code "bayfunk" and you'll get a discount. Just a heads up. :thumb:

BayFunk wouldn't have to do with the clubbing scene Bay Funktion Productions would it???? LOL, anyways Theres another code that gives 10$ off. I can't remember what it is though.
