How loud would a 3" full exhaust be with a test pipe vs. a High flow cat?

Universal High Flow Catalytic Converters is the link to the cat i was looking at... Ill be moving north to chicago soon also. noise will be a big factor! I dont want my car to be too loud. Also, for all of you out there looking for a nice cheap 3" exhaust system check out MITSUBISHI TK all you have to do is weld it together and buy a muffler and tip. and the tubing kits come with flanges and gaskets and hangers im pretty sure. he sells mufflers and tips cheap as well. so high flow cat or test pipe? :hmm:

I have a full 3" and no cat or muffler and my car is not very noisy at all!! I would go with the test pipe and say screw the cat!!! it will be just barely noisier than with a cat but not noisy enough to bother anyone!!

You could always get both and just swap the test pipe with the cat come emissions testing time.

Well the noise difference won't be very noticeable, whichever you decide to go with. If you need to quite the exhaust down put in a couple resonators if you haven't already.
