i dont even have to see the link to know what it is and not to do it. send it to howell to get it out to 55mm. that service just removes the hump in the tb.

Yeah, I don't know about those porting services on ebay. There is one guy on ebay though that's selling Holley TB's for the 420a, I don't know how good they are but if it's made by Holley I would suspect it to be good. I forget the size on it, it might be 55mm already.

Well I email, the guy and he say that he can do the port to 55mm but he doesn't have the plate for 55mm  . Well i told him to email me back as soon as he have that plate. not bad for the price and I will like to try it. I have a spare T/B.

55mm or nothing!

I don't know about you guys, but I've used a lathe before, and unless the TB is perfectly balanced it would viberate like hell and make a really uneven bore. Even polishing wouldn't help, and if you look at his most recent auctions not too many of them were this service.

according to that seller, he has a eclipse 420a turbo pushing 34 psi (he says). He's an OBX dealer, and thats about all he sells. I'd say send it to howell, but I don't have much luck getting things from howell (not saying anymore). I got a Modern Performance 60mm TB, and I love it. I ported my Intake manifold's runners and opened the TB side to 60mm. I couldn't believe the gain! This was when I was NA, mind you. My vote goes into the 60mm.

I couldnt agree more. 55mm is the optimal size for NA applications and 57-60 is better for boost. I put the 60mm on without port matching it to my manifold and it still made a huge difference. Now I've got it port matched to the tb, the mani is ported/polished/gasket matched and its an amazing difference, especially on the spray.
