HKS ssqv recirculate fitting....

my hks is currently venting to the atmosphere... wondering fir this fitting off ebay will work to recirculate it?? I've read that the fake version of these will not work on the authentic ones and was just wondering how to tell if the fitting will or will not work... thank you. also there is a option for 1" or 1.25" what is the difference? obviously a quarter inch but which would i want for a genuine hks?

Why not buy the fitting from a vendor and not worry about it fitting or not, vendors help ensure quality and probably will help you get the correct one if it doesn't fit.

Take a tape measure or a micrometer and measure the inner diameter of your recirculation hose, then buy the suitable recirculation fitting, easy way to answer your own question. Either 1" or 1.25", most likely 1.25 because mitsu is actually a 1.3 recirculation hose size.

I bought acouple, and although others seem not to have had issues with it, I had to dremel my bov housing to accomodate it (and yes, my HKS BOV is genuine, in fact I have 3 I tested on and it fit on none of them without a little grinding). Not by much mind you.

My HKS is recirculated with the ebay fitting, don't get the 1 inch, its smaller than the fitting on the intake and its hard to find a tube that fits both ends. I also did some slight grinding but you can definitely make it work with a genuine hks

I picked up my hks bov w/recirc fitting from extremepsi and both are genuine. fitment was great with no leaks. If you want to spend the time screwing around making ebay parts fit cause its cheap then go the ebay route. If you want quality and hassle free install get genuine products.

Besides that it doesn't matter which you size of recirc fitting you get. I went with the 1". If you take your stock recircultion tub off your intake and measure the O.D. of the connector, you'll notice that its bigger than 1" anyway. It's your call. You'll probably have to heat and work some hose onto the intake return tube and you'll find that the recirc fitting on the bov the hose will slide right over and then you just clamp both ends down.
