HKS Power Flow Filter cleanable?

Can someone please tell me, whether the HKS Power Flow Filter is cleanable like the K&N filters? And if yes, what fluids do I need to clean the filter?

Can it happen, that (perhaps) some of the green foam gets loosen and enter my turbo?

No, it's not cleanable. The foam piece though is fairly inexpensive and is easily replaced (unscrew the knob on the top of the filter, remove the screen and the foam pops out).

I read somewhere that someone experienced what you described, where the foam element started breaking up and could've eventually enter the turbo.

Now I'm sure, I'll go and buy a K&N Filtercharger. It's not so expensive and it's cleanable.

I suggest the eBay K&N fakes. Excellent results with them here.

I don't need a K&N fake, since I'm from Germany and indeed the only good available filterchargers are K&Ns.

I would go with the Apexi Power Intake. It's a dry filter that requires no maintenance and oil recharging. Some people are concerned with the oil, when applied in an excessive amount, might coat the mass airflow sensor, and affect the mass air count. It shouldn't be a problem if the proper amount of oil is applied. I'm not sure if the Apexi filter is made for the 1G turbo.

If the filter is maintenance free, where will all the dirt particles be after hitting the surface of the filter?
