My fuel trims seem to be runnin really high. I know that you want to shoot for 100. well this is what I am runnin. FTRL- 133.38, FTRM- 139.62, FTRH- 128.70. is this runnin rich or lean and how do I go about gettin them down to 100?

CMiuc12s, If you can post what your LOW and HIGH AFC settings it will be easier to help.

I agree with 16g-95gsx you need to add more fuel in all your low settings first. Try 5% more fuel and see where the trims settle.

Well I did another log last night after I got the car up to running temps. Set at 21 psi on a SBR 50 trim. I did richen my low and highs alittle bit from before. My fuel trims run down like this;
FTRL- 133.38
FTRM-139.62
FTRL- 121.68
FT02- 99.84

true, trims are at WOT. but how does the rest look so far. I am kinda new to tuning, so I am trying, ya know, LOL. I can repost trim at cruise at 65 mph. Also, I think that the guy before me had the timing advanced 4 deg. cause at idle (800-850) the timing is reading at about 11 - 12 deg. I looked at the CAS and it is retarded all the way back, tried to move it forward and the car just revs up and the timing goes up also. I need to take the timing belt off and retime this thing.

timing is a bit high, reset your ecu and then go out on the hgihway and drive 65-70, watch your o2 trim and make sure its cycling around 100...richen or lean whats needed to get it around 100, then set your idle, thats easy and mid you can do over time....WOT doesnt use the trims, when you do a WOT pull, watch your o2 voltage, every car is different on that but a basic start is to just lean it out enough to not knock.

CM, from the log you posted and the rpm points you have set on your SAFC, if I were you, I would raise the LO settings from 2000 to 3600 rpm about +5 points and see what happens. It may take more then +5 but it would be a good starting point to try.
When IM cruising on the highway at 65 my car is reving around 3000 rpm in open loop, to get my trims to settle near 100% I had to adjust the rpm points above and below 3000 rpm. like this

Another way to adjust the fuel trims is with the FPR if you raise the fuel pressure 1psi it is like adding 2% to 3% with the SAFC. For example, my FIC 650's are tested at 49psi from the factory but when I was running them in my car at 43psi they were running lean in open loop. When I turned up the FPR to 48psi my my fuel trims started to show rich till I lowered my SAFC settings. The picture above is after I upped the Fuel pressure and nearly zeroed out my SAFC.

Thanks Turf and Devil, I have been thinking of all the stuff with this car that the guy before me had done. With the timing advanced 4 deg and the CAS retarded all the way back and at ideal having about 11-12 deg timing. I think that I would be better off pullin the timing belt and resetting the timing of the engine and the cas to get the timing in check. Then start to retune it from there. I got a good timing light and doing it is no problem. But for now I will give it a shot and see what happens. If I can get the fuel trims down then I may just hold off retiming for a bit. I will keep ya'll posted. I will do another log tonight after work. Thanks fellas! :thumb:

I am having the same problems, except all of my trims are at 139%. What I have found out is that sometimes your stock ecu cannot learn the new fuel curve because of bigger injectors, with a bigger maf, and safc. So I am having to get my ecu programmed for my injectors and maf, along with some other stuff. Its actually pretty cheap if you already have an eprom ecu. The guy that is doing mine is charging me $30. Hope this helps.
