High temperature o-rings?

London,
Hi,

I'm in the process of installing a 14b into my 2G and I'm using this kit:

eBay Motors: Turbo Oil Line Lines Kit T25 T28 16G 14B 20G DSM EVO (item 260234802820 end time Nov-21-08 12:35:24 PST)

You can see on the big picture of the oil line that the threads stop near the "head" of the fittings. It has this on all the fittings, including the coolant lines, which I didn't notice until I got to the oil line, after I already hooked up a bunch of the water lines.

Should I be using o-rings, or are the copper washers that come stock with the car fine for sealing everything? And if I should be using o-rings instead, do I need some sort of special high-temperature ones so they don't melt from the heat of the turbo, or should the o-rings you find in the plumbing section of your local hardware store work fine?

Thanks!

I used copper crush washers for the coolant lines and oil feed line on my 16g.. I know there is 2 rubber o-rings to seal the compressor housing to the center housing, not sure how hot the center part gets.

Use the crush washers if you can. I've used regular "copper electrical washers" without any problems.
