Alright when i am accelerating my car pulls hard till like 5500 then from that to redline it seems like it dont go no where its weird just wondering what this might be...

Hey, welcome to DSMtuners.com, here you will find a search button that will 9 times out of 10 have your answer! It always comes through for me! :thumb: Your profile is empty so I'm going to assume your car is stock. That said, I'd say your turbo is a T25, which has a somewhat limited powerband, especially at higher RPMS. What you're experiencing is normal, if you'd like to eliminate the "dead pull" you may want to check the upgrade path located in the Tech Guide above. Basically, start with the ins & outs and do all the "free" mods to your car. www.vfaq.com is also a highly reputable site you'll want to check out if you haven't already.

First off he has a 1g so he doesn't have a T25 he has a 14b. Any reputable DSMer would know that. They don't tend to fall off like the T25 will. Secondly I'm assuming as well that yoru car is stock. And being it's a 1g you probably have a pre-exhaust boost leak causing loss of pressure at higher rpm's. 1g manifolds were natorious for this. Only real we to tell is to either get a boost gauge or do a boost leak test. It might not show up at first when it is cold but once it get's warmed up it will show through. Boost gauge will be your best bet to see if your boost is falling of or you have something a little worse like lots of knock and it's pulling to much timing.

agreed.... check the outlet on the stock intercooler. They sometimes rust and cause a boost leak. What boost is the car set at? Maybe its just too much for the setup

Your assuming he has a 5 speed... the 1G auto has a 13G correct?

alright sorry guys my car is stock awd trubo 5 speed and it does have a 14b my boost is holding but it just seems like it should go right to redline with no problem but it doesnt it seems like it needs to be kicked in the ass the car is mostly stock has a 3 inch homemade intake and thats it

The 14b should carry to around 6500 rpm's. It will feel like more but that's all it is worth. If it is holding boost then I would invest in a pocketlogger. Sounds like you may have a partially clogged fuel filter or injector starting to go and it is pulling timing to compensate for that cylinder or cylinders. A pocketlogger will tell you that by telling you timing and knock. Great investment since it is also the only easy cheap way to check DTC's. Also do you have an aftermarket boost gauge or are just reading the stock one. Stock gauge's are there to look pretty. Other than that they just let you know it is working but not how well. Could still be a pre-turbo boost leak. Check manifold for cracks and your j-pipe gasket. Also the fuel injector seals are also a very common place for our cars to leak too.

Well i just changed my fuel filter today im gonna do a boost leak test monday hopefully...i dont have a aftermarket boost gauge but i will be getting one next week so after i do this i will let u kno what happens thanks alot.

I thought his vehicle was a '95. I was just trying to help. Anyway, T25, 14B, they still have a limited power band-maybe the 14B doesn't fall off the powerband wagon as soon as the T25, but it still doesn't hold up well on a stock car at higher RPMS. My buddy has a similar issue with his '95 GS-X.

I ran 13.1 on a ported 14b and ported 2nd manifold. The 14b is a very potent turbo for being a stock one. If I would have had my Venom intake manifold on and a FMIC I could have made it into the 12's on a 14b. It's been done before plenty of time's. CFM wise the 14b and T-25 aren't even comparable. 95 GSX would have a T-25 so that is probably why it feels like it is falling off. Mine did on my 95 but when I got my 1g and ported it, the dyno showed it carried to almost 7k. Which is the same as my ported big16g.

He has a 14B on his GS-X. I murdered him w/my 16G, and I have a FWD.
