Calgary,
My idle sits at about 1000RPM after the car is warmed up.
90 tsi, awd. 16G turbo, rewired stock pump. Manual boost controller.

As far as I can tell, there is a very very very small leak coming from the throttle body area. I mean tiny. I'll pressurize the system(with a bike pump) and it will stay at 10PSI for about 45 seconds or something, so I'm sure that's not the problem.

Any ideas?
BTW the only other thing I did to the car was to add a catch can to the relief hose coming from the valve cover(not the PCV valve)

ANY suggestions at all? Thanks guys

Biss screw to adjust idle to 850 or whatever you like,..

It's not like I adjusted the idle or anything though. I'd like to figure out what caused this before i put in my 190, 680cc's, MAF and MAFT.
Any other suggestions

But the BISS screw has an O-ring that may have backed out a little,..Try to adjust it and see if it helps the idle,..If that solves the problem then that is it,..If it comes back on the next start up or later on,..check where the leak is coming from,..Could be the ring seals for the throttle body plate opening and closing as this can deteriorate too,..

BISS screw is easy to check and adjust, try it as it wont mess up anything you cant fix again with the turn of a screwdriver,..Car is supposed to be at 1k or high at cold start up, then back to 750-850 idle when warmed up,..If its idle surging, then that a different story and a long list of "what to check" to go thru,.

Hope this helps

OK, well after changing plugs and wires(just maintenance anyways) the idle was still jumping around and such, so i couldn't blame it on spark running rich, then catching up....la la la

Prognosis: My battery terminals were loose enough to be vibrating on/off. They would loose contact and I would lose power. I'm sure it'd probably happen with heavily corroded terminals or even faulty cables as well. Something to think about if you ever do have a problem!!
