I have a '95 Talon Tsi AWD. I have engine hesitation with decent to full on hard accelleration. I can slowly accelerate all the way to 100% throttle and it
doesn't hesitate, but when i just step on the gas more then slowly then it hesitates. When the engine is just started(starts right up), it idles nice, low,
and smooth. But once the engine is close to fully warmed up it almost always decides to idle anywhere from 900-2400rpm but it most often more near 2400. I
ohmed out the TPS sensor/closed throttle switch with it removed from the throttle body and it seemed to test ok, but it didn't ever show no continuity like
its supposed to when the throttle blade would be closed all the way. There is a DTC for the idle air control circuit wich I have diagnosed and I believe it
to be a dirty intake or worn out throttle blade shaft. A new Idle air control motor is installed. I don't believe any of my intake hoses or intercooler hoses
are leaking or sucking shut. What is the hesitation? EGR? PCV? fuel pump? Coils? Intake gasket?

At WOT your EGR shuts off so i wouldn't imagine that being the problem. When is the last time the fuel filter was change?

ok...heres some more info....it has a new fuel filter, I've been trying to test the fuel pressure but i can't find the right adapter for right before my fuel rail. Usually once a week...sometimes 2 times a week....it loses power on the freeway in fifth gear then i'll pull off and pull the engine fuse and put it back in and it doesn't misfire anymore. I'll start the car up right after i put the fuse back in and it's fine again for almost a week. I ohmed out my coils through the connector with alldata and ondemand5 procedures and apparently primary coil resistance on both coils is a little out of spec but the secondary resistance was fine. I never ohmed my plug wires though yet.
-----thanks for your help

How would you go about doing a boost leak test? although i'm very sure I have none.

I figured out the problem....it was very simple....Someone who doesn't have many brain cells put snowmobile spark plugs in my engine!!!! NGK...9 heat range plugs so ive been probably detonating my motor everytime i make it hesitate!! yikes...other than the damage i might've caused by driving it, it runs great now just still has the high idle because i havent cleaned the throttle body yet.
