my ignition only recognizes it being on if i hold the keep past where you turn it to start the car...it starts the car fine but my turbo timer will only turn on and stay on if i hold the key turned all the way...the instant you let go and it settles to where its supposed to be the turbo timer shuts off any ideas? am i goin to have to replace my ignition if i want my turbo timer to work?

It's probably just connected to the wrong wire. Check your wiring and make sure everything connected were it's supposed to be.

the turbo timer is wired correctly i even had a friend come over who has the exact same car and has the apexi tt in his car and he is the one that helped me figure out what was wrong its definitly not the turbo timer

If the turbo timer comes on in the start position, and cuts off in the run position, it is hooked to the wrong wire.

no its not that.... i think the small part that rotates doesnt stay all the way forward like its supposed to

if your car runs like it should in all positions of the key and the only problem you are having is getting the turbo timer running during the right times, it is connected to the wrong wire.

If your car isn't functioning like it should with all positions of the key, then your tumbler assembly is bad.

If you didn't have this problem BEFORE the timer. It's the timer. your fault or not. it's the timer. could be a faulty turbo timer, bad intermediate harness (if you used one). Take it out. If the ignition works properly, it's the timer harness or timer itself, or mis-installed. Best of luck, bro, let us know!
