Ever since I've replaced my timing belt and all the other belts, either my A/C belt or steering belt has been squeeking. I belive it's the steering belt since it only squeeks when I turn the wheel. But when I check it it wasn't too lose or too tight. What can be the problem?

make sure you didn't get any fluids on the belt and also make sure that the resirvoir is full of fluid. maybe try tightening it a bit too, usually when it squeaks just when you turn that means the belt is either too loose or has had fluid spilt/dripped on it.

I know there is some kind of gel you can put on your belt to stop the sound but i had the same problem i didn't hear anything until i turned the wheel all the way to the right and left open your hood while the car is on stand out side the car turn the wheel to the left and you should be able to see the belt from there when i did that my belt stopped but the pulley was still going need to be tightend .:thumb: good luck

don't ever put gel/spray or any kind of coating on any of your belts, it just makes the squealing worse after it wears off.

Well, actually I guess it's the A/C belt instead. I noticed that it will squeek when I turn the A/C on. However, this doesn't happen always. The squeeking goes away after I turn the A/C off. And yes, this is a brand new belt.

ok, I'll tighten it a little bit and check if it's rubbing against anything. Thx guys. I hope this solves the problem
