Help my car won't start

After I drove the car tonight and then parked the car my car just died in front of my house. I put it back in neutral and try to start the car. The car wouldn't start. I can hear the car trying to turn over but other than that it wouldn't start. Could it be my clutch is done? I need help fast thanks.

Try a new battery. This has nothing to do with your clutch.

thanks for the quick reply....Imma try to jump start the car tomorrow and probably buy a new battery too. Could it be anything else other than battery issue?

What kind of car are we talking about? If it's a Dodge Caravan, before 1994 it's because your fuel pump became disconnected.

Are you getting fuel and spark? Does it sound normal when you crank it? Or is it slower, or faster than normal? Was there anything going on abnormal before you shut the car off?

I am having the same problem, my battery is good, when I turn the key in the ignition the lights in the dash won't come on and there is no power, how do I know if I am getting fuel or what else can the problem be? 95 tsi

Well.... if the lights aren't coming on, then your battery isn't good.
Or the connections to your battery are not good.

To check for spark pull a plug wire, one at a time and ground it. It'll spark between the wire and the ground. Or there's a tester you can buy.
To check for fuel, crack a fuel line

It's either fuel, spark or compression. Figure out which and go from there.

If the car isn't cranking at all and you're sure the battery is good, clean and tighten the battery terminals and see what happens like ddavisaf have sated above.

To check if you're getting fuel:

1. Unplug the coil to disable spark.

2. Remove the fuel return hose from the fuel rail on the driverside.

3. Crank the car to see if you get fuel pulsing out of the rail, make sure you have a container to catch the fuel with.

I replaced the battery and then the problem still persist but then after I replace my alternator problem solved.

I took my battery to NAPA and they said it was not good, the voltage was low, I also replaced all the fuses, brand new fuses, (my starter fuse looked kinda iffy so i wanted to buyy new ones) and as soon as I put everything back with a new battery everything seemed to work, thanks everyone for your help.
