Calgary,
Car is 92 Tsi.
Hey guys I have a problem and need some help with it. My car has done this thing where it will run really good for a good amount of time (an hour drive) then after around an hour it will begin to misfire really bad. It's happening more and more often now, to the point where it's always misfiring in cylinder # 1.
I replaced sparks plugs and wires, and it's a good coil. When i pull out the spark plug wire I can clearly see a spark. That lead me to my fuel injectors, When i pull the wiring clip off the first injector there is no change in how the car runs. Every other fuel injector if unplugged makes the car run rougher. I took off the fuel rail and swapped my 550's around. Marking the injector I thought was bad and putting it on cylinder number 2. I started the car again and it still misfires from cylinder number 1. I used my multimeter and when I check the voltage on the wiring harness it goes from around 1.8-2v, i can see the numbers flashing back and forth. When I put my meter on any other fuel injector harness wire my meter just shows Overload but i can kind of "see" the power pulse at the bottom, just it never shows me a voltage.
Please help.
