I am heading to track soon and this will be my first time running the car down an actual track. I have done a few launches and feel pretty comfortable with it.

Just wondering if any vets had some advice for a newbie about shift points etc. Check profile for mods if you need to know them. Also anyone want to guess at what my e.t.s will be considering my mods. I hoping to break into the 13's the high 13's at least.

Thanks,
Ben :D

When you first get there take awhile just to watch and see how they run things.

I wouldn't expect to much being that it's your first time out and the T-25 sucks...

I'd be happy with a 14.5

Thanks for the advice, but I will always set my hopes high and take what I can get. :thumb:

For some reason people always try and concentrate on there reaction time. Dont worry about hat it has nothing to do with you final time at the end. Just go and watch how things work and figure what lane you will be in and how the track wants things done. From there just stay calm and focus on your driving and you car.

Persoanlly I would work on 60ft times and your times at the big end will fall when you drop your 60ft. I woudl say a mid to low 14 would be a good time.

Sounds good and I think that the only thing that I will have some trouble with is keeping my adrenaline down low enough so that I dont screw up. But at any rate the rush should be great.

You will probablly run high 14's if not 15's all night. If it's your first time at the track the launching you did on the street is not going to help you at all. It's a totally different ball of wax.

Honestly just go and try and run faster then 14.9. If you go hoping to run 13.9 your going to be very dissappointed. Your fastest runs are never on your first time out. I have been at the track for 5 years now and my car alwasy gets faster year after year even when I don't do any mods because I adjust my driving to get the lowest E.T. You have yet to discover all these things, it will happen, just not on your first night out so don't expect it to.

If you go with low expectations you will be happy with your results, if you go with high expectations you will go home wondering what when wrong.

I dont think that I will be dissapointed because I know that the point of this trip is to get a baseline of where my car is now and so that I can see improvements with performance and driver skill over time. I have always believed in thinking positive and good things will come. That is just the way that I am.

I know that most likely I will not run as good as I would like to but it never hurts to set your hopes high ya know.
