head light glue?

i took my 2ga lights apart and did the paint job. but i just need to know if anyone knows what is the proper glue to use to put the lights back together with? yes i know your suppose to just reheat the light and use the old glue but i didnt waste all this time taking them apart, scratching, priming and painting them to have a bad seal. so if anyone could let me know what the proper stuff to use is that would be awesome thanks.

well im not trying to be rude but i was trying to find a glue. i dont want to use silicon because it will expand and contract and over time crack and leak. with a glue there is less of a chance for that to happen.

Look next to the silicone. Should have some stuff that bonds hard plastic together. It's enough for one headlight though so get two. Should come out to 8 bucks. I agree with the silicone, it does expand and it might come apart again. I'll try to get the name of the product I got, but mine hardened in 5 minutes. Tough as heck too. Give it a shot.

Maybe I should have been a little more clear. Use silicone rubber, it used for sealing windows and doors. The shrinkage is extremely minimal and if you can get it to crack from using it on your headlights in the next 40 years Ill give you a lot of money. Im not trying to be rude but I use silicone daily in my profession. It will NEVER crack, and will shrink very slightly, not any more than glue does when it dries. But you dont have to take my advice I was just being helpful and I know from personal experience and experience of others that it works well for this task.

i wasnt trying to offend you or anything, but i do plumbing and silicon in bathroom showers does get hard over time and cracks and peels. but the rubber silicon does sound like a good idea. ill look into that thanks
