having trouble installing lightened flywheel

I have a 1990 Eagle Talon TSI I am currently having my trans overhauled and I would like to install a lightened flywheel that I have but the oem flywheel bolts are to long we tried using washers to space it didnt and if you use shorter bolts the heads of the bolts rub on clutch disks this is a dual disk clutch I dont know what brand it is I bought it from some one that never installed it if you have any suggestions at all on how to do it or where to get these bolts it would be great. I assume you mean shorter std bolts not shorter bolts with heads just like the stock ones...

I'd get new flywheel bolts and a die... Never trust old flywheel bolts... Nothing like launching a nice durable SFI approved flywheel due to reusing bad bolts...

Run the die up the bolt and cut it off with a hacksaw going nice and slow and quenching it so it cannot get hot... File the corner off the edges and run the die off.

the stock bolt heads still wont work if they are cut "bolt heads to tall"
