Has anyone tried the eboost-2?

Having a fwd car and an antiquated boost controller (original EZ controller) I was just looking around and saw the e-boost2.

What really interests me is the gear based mapping. I'd love to be able to set the boost low for first gear, higher for second, higher for third and top level for 4th with both street and track tires to prevent spinning the tires. Has anyone tried this? How in the heck would it know what gear you were in?

I haven't used this particular boost controller but i do use ecu gear based boost control and i love it on my fwd. Helps a lot with traction in 2nd and 3rd gear.

I'd love to know how you set that up. I just got the car and its a full AEM EMS. I haven't got a chance to look into what the ECU knows but if you have a method to setup gear based boost setting from my settings, whether it is with a different boost controller or something else I'd love to hear about it .

We run it on our race car and let me just say that it is SICK. You can do so much with it and its a blessing to have. The ONLY thing I would use other then it would have to be the AMS-1000. But i think it would be overkill unless you have a strait drag car.

Not a comment about the eboost-2 but if you have the aem all you need is to buy the aem boost solenoid and you can use your aem to control boost by gear.

Thanks! I'm pretty new to the idea of ecu controlled boost settings. I'll go shop for the solenoid now .
