I was looking into a possible BB upgrade to my S16G for next summer ('05). I always thought the GT10, SS44 (L1R) and new FP2544 were all the same basic Garrett core. Upon reading further, the AGP and Slowboy seem to use the GT30 core and FP uses the GT25 core. Does anyone have any info on the differences of these CHRA's? From reading Garrett's product info, there isn't much description on their pages, only that the GT25 core seems to be in a lower powerband than the 30, however, AGP and FP have rated both their turbo's at 44lb/min capable. I always figued it was a matter of vendor choice, but now i am not so sure. Thanks in advance!

I did some searching on here for "L1R" or "SS44" for post by you and didn't come up with too much. You would mind explaining to me why the above is such a bad combo or point me in the direction of a place to look besides this website? Thanks.

The 700177-10 has too big a turbine wheel for the size of compressor wheel. You get the lag of a 500hp turbo but only get a 400hp turbo.
The SS44 is a GT25R. You get instant boost and 400hp potential.
