I am currently in the process of building my GST and am currently on the suspension and brake phase. The brakes on the car are toast and I want to replace them. I am looking into the GSX upgrade as it is a pretty decent price with a bit more bite over the GST brakes. My question is will the GSX brake upgrade on the GST handle around the 350ish hp range well? I would get nice rotors, pads, and lines as well so I know that will help some but since I'm already there would a better brake option be that much better? I plan on auto x or track very little and don't require some 12 pot kit LOL. Any advice would be helpful! Thanks!

I realize that brake performance is not dictated by power levels. I was referring to the fact that would the increased power over stock be handled efficiently by the GSX dual piston upgrade over the stock single piston GST brakes.

Can you post what year you have?

It's in my opinion that some good street pads, I like ebc or hawk personally, and some nice plain oem vented rotors, not dimpled, slotted, or drilled are enough for street use, more rotor area and more clamping force can never hurt though. I've had slotted and didn't notice a difference. Drilled can cause cracks and the solution to that is dimpled at the expense of deceased pad surface area.

If you are looking for an inexpensive upgrade, I would say yes they are worth it. Especially for a street car, that you might AC a few times. If you were going to be doing some races often, I would go with something a bit larger/better. Whatever you do, put a nice coating on them before you install. Keep them looking nice! And they will be cleaner to work on in the future.
