I installed a ACT 2900 with street disk and a Fidanza flywheel about a month ago. I also installed a new slave cylinder, braided clutch line new metal line from master to braided. I can drive shift normally with no grinds at all but when I am under boost and over 5000 rpm's I grind when I shift into 3rd. It also doesn't do it until I have driven 15 to 20 miles or more. I am also running B&G Syncroshift II tranny fluid. Do you think it's the syncro's? I've bled the system 3 times and it isn't getting any better. I didn't have any grinds while using my old ACT 2600.

BG creates a lot of friction in the trans. I'm sure your synchro rings are wiped out. Could also be the clutch is dragging. Try this, but be very careful:

1) Have the car running with the e-brake off so it can roll.
2) Push the clutch pedal all the way to the floor and hold it there.
3) Turn off your launch limiter in DSM link if equipped so the engine can hit 7K RPM.
4) Put the car into 1st gear.
5) Rev the engine up until you feel the car start to move forward.

If the car moves forward below 7200RPM, your clutch is dragging.

Normally though, if you are grinding, it's too late. Here are some more tips on proper clutch adjustment:

I have already adjusted the clutch using your video. Thanks for making those by the way they are very informative. I will try the other test you described and let you know the results. By the way could you PM me a price to rebuild the transmission if I send you mine. I will be looking to make 500-550 whp before years end so what type of rebuild would you recommend?

Hello, if your car is a 91 and the tranny is truly a 91 then you might be able to get away with our Value rebuild. If not, it will have to be Premium for that power level.

Thanks!
