I just put a greddy type s bov on my car and now in 3rd gear and up at like 3600-3800 rpms it acts like its hitting the rev limiter. only when i get into it slowley and then mash it. The car runs fine wide open all the way and just puttin around town takin it easy. Any ideas on what it could be. Also what should I set the bov at as far as soft and hard. Could this be part of the problem.

if u are referring to your boost gauge in the cluster hitting full boost at 3800rpms...that means ur GTSBOV is set to hard...loosen the screw...if its ur rpm acting like its hitting the limiter, i dont know...i have my GTSBOV tuned with 4 treads showing on the screw. but it also depends whats done to ur talon, is it bone stock? lil more info... :dsm:

my talon is pretty much stock, other than the bov i have a filter. But today i took off the hose from the lower vaccum hose that went to the hose between the wastegate and turbo and i havent had the problem. I dont know if its a fluke that it quit or if that was the reason. Right now the bov is set where about 7 or 8 threads are showing. Where should I go from there?

well....i have an injen intake, GTSBOV, greddy hardpipe IC kit....getting exhaust soon...if i were you, i would tighten the BOV some more, 7-8 is too loose IMO. Your out of the ordinary "rev limiting" is an issue elsewhere, not the BOV. Anyone else help out? I'm stumped on his rev's....

It's probibly too loose, and when hitting higher boost, you're losing air (power) through the BOV. How I tune mine is I tighten it too much - rev then engine from the engine bay (push down on the throttle cable) and listen to where the air escapes. When it's too tight, it will go back out the filter, and cause some compression surge. Start loosening it until you get just a little air out the filter before the valve opens. :thumb:
