Hey guys I have a quick question. I recently finished putting the car together and setting up my blow through set up with 3.5" gm maf and a maft. Now my question is with the Greddy Type S Bov. I know now I don't have to recirculate but instead now the bov is just one massive vacuum leak. Is this supposed to happen? If it is should I get a filter or something so that nothing gets sucked in there? The thing is an extremely strong vacuum, and it seems to be affecting my idle. The idle jumps and is a little lumpy while if I cover up the hole, the idle is more steady. Is my Maft working? Or maybe my Bov is hooked up wrong? Any help is appreciated.

PS: Would placing the gm maf backwards cause this because I didn't double check if I put it with the flow arrow pointing the right way?

Thanks for the advice. The thing is that the Bov itself is sucking a ridiculous amount of air and it is a vacuum leak itself. I don't know if that's normal for it to be sucking so much air from the front. The air is getting sucked in through the hole that would usually be recirculated to the intake.

I put that thing as tight as it went and it was still sucking massive amounts of air. So I'm guessing it is not normal for the bov to be sucking in air like that in a blow through set up?

Would having a catch can on a blow through set up cause this? Right now my catch can is set up with one line connected to the breather on the valve cover and the other line on a nipple that is on the intake tube. Maybe I put it on backwards and its flowing the wrong way?

It might also be that I installed the Bov wrong. Maybe the vac lines are wrong? Any diagrams to see how the greddy type s should be installed with a manual boost controller and a blow through set up.

Connect your vac line from the intake manifold to the top most nipple of the bov, the lower nipple stays open.

If it continues to suck air then yeah I'd say you have a leaking bov, look inside and see if it still has the o ring around the diaphragm.
