So the adjustment screw came out, threads are gonners.

I drilled the hole bigger and going to thread it. However I noticed that the "thing" that the screw pushes down on [to push down on the spring] has a small hole in it. Is there supposed to be a hole there?

Maybe that is why Type-s's are known to leak from the adjustment screw ? Well I was wondering if i should pull the BOV apart and replace that part or am I good with the bigger screw and teflon tape?

Thanks!! :dsm:

I would assume you would be fine just putting a new screw in it and not worrying about the rest.

Have a couple Greddys lying around in pieces. The plate you are refering to does have a hole in the center. If you take it out, there are three "steps" on the other side. This is the way it was designed.

I would suggest using a paste instead. Whether it's teflon or plumber's is up to you.
