gradually rising EGTs

i finished turbocharging my 4g64 galant about 3 weeks ago, and i wanted to get some opinions on my gradually rising EGTs.

When i first drove the car after the turbo, my egts would stay about 700F at idle, 800F when cruising, and about 1000F under wot or heavy boost. about a week or so after that, everything went up 100F. 800F idle, 900F cruising, and 1100 heavy boost. now while cruising, it stays about 1000, and under heavy boost it reaches 1200 now. while idling it drops to about 700-800 as before, but everything else is a lot higher.

any ideas? if it starts hitting 1300 i'm gonna freak out. :coy:
 
USE THE SEARCH!!!! Anyway your egt temps all depend on were you have the probe located. The first or second runner on the exhaust manifold is the best place to read your EGTs from. I have mine in the second runnner and I have seen 1600* F under heavy boost. EGTs are really not that usefull you need a data logger of some type to see how your fuel is used and what your fuel ratio is. EGTs will not tell you if you are rich or lean. Wide band is the only way to go but it is expensive but is nice to have.
 
no, god damnit. i'm not talking about my temps, i'm talking about how they are gradually rising as time goes on. i've already determined where i'm gonna mount it, cause it's already mounted, i'm just looking for info as to why they are slowly going up.

weather i mount it at my muffler or in the #1 runner is irrelevant, the decreasing temp is still the topic under question
 
I don't know much about sensors but maybe it's a faulty probe. I would also check out the condition of your spark plugs to make sure everything is ok in the combustion chamber.
