Since i bought this car the interior lights(both floor as well as the over head and rear) have not worked when opening EITHER door, but they all would come on when i open the rear hatch. The overhead light works manually with the button by the light but does NOT work when turning the dimmer all the way over. The auto seatbelts work when opening either door so i assume the door switches work. I've checked fuses and no problems there. I don't understand why everything works fine when the rear hatch is opened but not when either door is opened. Any ideas?

Also and more importantly, my low beams just quit working. Since i've owned the car the fog lights did'nt work. Checked fuses and found none blown. Did'nt check the bulbs but i just "figured" that they were blown. The headlights worked fine until last night. I pulled in to gas up and when i cranked the car and turned on the lights....no low beams. The high beams work fine. The really goofy thing is that the fog lights now work! When i turn them on they only light up when the low beams are supposed to be on and go off when i turn on the high beams. I'll check the bulbs tomorrow am but i just don't seem them going out at the same time. Not to mention that they worked when i killed the car and did'nt when i cranked it back up. Any ideas here???

I would still remove the door switches and clean them as they get really gunked up and make sure they switch to a good ground.

That's the way they are supposed to work.

Go through the same procedure that you did for the interior lights when you go out to check your headlights. Make sure all your fuses are still good and none are blown. Other than that, I'm sorta stumped.

Mine did the same thing. Cleaning them worked for me. Just open the door and look for the little rubber boot. Pull it off, and unscrew the switch. Unplug it, and be sure not to let it fall back inside the door. Just take it apart and clean the terminals, then put it back together, its pretty easy once you look at it for a minute. Just remember how it goes back together. If that doesn't work, try here:

Bad relay to the low beams... bad relay to the fogs...

Pull one door switch... complete circuit manually to confirm that switch is the problem...
