ok i am running a stock fpr, and 650s, walbro 255hph.....good

so i am cruising i start to get on it.............good

then i hit 4000 rpms knock comes into play......bad

so when i do this i am looking at the wideband its mid to low 11's on pump gas......plus i hit 14psi it runs good....turn the boost controller to 15 or higher it studders at 5k automatically.....can anyone give any insight

i have switched plugs from bpr7es to 8's....checked all of my vacuum lines nothing i have pressure test my ic piping to 10 psi no leaks.....i would start to see a leak around 10 psi correct???

why 8's to cold ???? 7's are fine..

and what is your gap set at?

He went to 8's i'm guessing because they are less condusive to knock. Do you have a log that you can post up? Mid 11's on pumpgas should be fine. I'm guessing you have an afc? What year car also? 2nd gens are known to easily have the stock fpr overran with more fuel and a bigger pump, thus causing tuning woes.

too cold a plug can cause it to misfire(plug not heating up to its range). that is why i ask about him switching to 8's did not ask you to guess for him. :rolleyes:

7 should be cold enough for him. and what is the gap at?
 
i had 7's in there so i switched to 8's thinking it was blowing out spark....but i have them gapped at .28.......
