Alright I found a 1995 Eagle Talon Tsi 5sp for sale for $4800 obo.
I haven't contacted the seller yet because I want to see what you guys think of it first.

Description:
It has 114000 miles
New parts : all valves and guides
head gasket and all seals
timing belt and tensioner
water pump
cranck sensor
balance shafts removed
conecting and main bearings cranck machined
rear main seal and clutch
needs new tires soon and cd player

So I am guessing that the car had crankwalk. If I was to buy this car what would be a good offer, and what else would need to be done.

If its FWD i'd probably try to get it for 3500-4000, if its AWD I would probably go as high as the suggested 4800. but thats just me:coy: Obvious look over the car really good first, test dive and all that fun stuff. Ask a lot of questions.

I'd stay away from it honestly. The cranks on these cars are non-serviceable and it sounds like he had it ground, which is probably only going to create problems for the next owner. And I would just wait for an AWD DSM to pop up.

You can find better deals out there. I got my AWD with 98,000 miles on it and it was in excellent condidtion.

Honestly I wouldn't touch it. New crank sensor says to me that it has walked. And I fear you will be in the same boat as that guy in just a few thousand miles. And like previously stated, Im not a big fan of machining the cranks on DSM's either, because it removes the hardening. Just my .02

I would agree with that. If you were going to go for that car, I would get it assuming it would be a project car, and that you will run into problems with it down the line. (and obviously get it for cheeper) Good luck.
