the car makes a high pitched noise when u rev up the motor it gets louder

it sounds like a electric motor running high speed (if you guys know what i mean) or like a bigblock supercharger with the noise going up and down with the motor

it sounds like its the alternator.. but im not sure.. is this a normal noise for the cars?.. or could it mean something is going out?

going to look at the car tomorow morning and hoping it doesnt mean something is broken that i would have go out on me right after

From your description it does sound like the alternator, but it could be something else. Nobody can really diagnose what it is without being there. Why don't you stand at the engine bay and have the owner rev it to try and better diagnose it?

My car makes that noise too. It's not that loud but it's something i noticed. It's coming from the timing area. It's never been a problem for me. Not saying don't worry about it cause it's not a problem, just saying nothing has happened to my engine related to that noise.

ive stood by the hood with it doing it.. it comes from the accessory part of the motor.. so its eather timing belt area like turbo-gs says.. or its the alternator

if the alternator is making the noise does it mean it could be going bad?.. or could it just be the design of the alternator that after it gets some use on it it just makes the noise for some reason?... anyone else have that noise?

My starter makes this type of sound till the car warms up.

I have the same noise too, it sounds almost like a high pitched robot movement..its hard to describe. I've since got my timing belt/drive shaft belt and all the fun accessories replaced, as well as a new alternator..the noise is still there. Seeing its been about 10K since I noticed the noise I figure everything is ok. In fact, I kinda like it.

any of u got a picture of the top of the motor where the injectors are (and have stock injectors) because they looked extremely clean like they changed them out recently.. a lot owns the car and they say nothing has been done to the car since they bought it... its got a new shifter in it since when i looked at it back in september (and now it looks like new inside somehow)
