Glowshift Wiring Help

Okay, I bought a 3gauge package from glowshift (tinted 7 color series) with pillar and harness. Well, I want to know what wires under the dash somewhere I can splice them into to where I can have them (and the lights) turn on when the ignition is on, not only when the headlights are on.

I did search and I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for so I'm posting now.

Pictures, colors of wires, location of wires would be greatly appreciated!

The best way IMO, is to get the add a fuse from advance auto, or similiar and tap into the fuse box, for a clean install. Should be self explanatory using the cover to determine switched/constant power.

See, I did think about that, but I dont have my fuse box cover -__-

Also, if I did want to use my fuse box cover when I got one, it wouldn't fit on there..

Instead of the cover you can use a multimeter or test light. Or you could tap a relay/fuse on to anything that's +12V Switched, cigarette lighter's popular.

I used the cigarette lighter for the switched 12v source. I grounded to the chassis and check with a voltmeter to make sure it was a good ground point. The 12v constant comes from my power seat.

I don't have the dimmer function hooked up. Wish I did...

This is what i did, fast, easy, worked great.

Cig lighter or use the red wire off the back of your aftermarket radio. You can also ground back there.
