I searched on this topic and could not find anything, but I was wondering if that would help with the understear. Any output from a vr4 owner/driver on the handling of that car would be apperiated. If rear stearing is very help full, would it be worth the attempt to swap it over to a eclipse. The combo of rear steering, 35/65 centerdiff, and a good suspention, would make the car more netural.

no you don't want the rear steering it sux.

most vr4 owners remove it for better handling.

The torque split on DSMs is 50/50. Don't even start down that road. :|

You are right, I ment to say with a aftermarket diff.

Geometry massaging and skilled driving will remove 90% of the understeer. Actually, intelligent driving alone will remove it all, but additional suspension massaging will allow non-understeer behaviour at a higher velocity for that same driver.

The only 35/65 centre diff available carries its own problems, although I suspect those issues would probably not raise their head outside of autocross or loose surface rallying.

Rear steer will only add weight and complexity - there's a reason it is missing from virtually all road vehicles.

Suspension adjustment and driver training are really all that's needed unless you're trying to win a National championship.
