I just installed a set of Eibach Prokits and Tokico Illuminas the other day.
I took the car to a shop but they refused to align it. They said they don't align lowered cars because they work with the factory numbers and a lowered car needs to be aligned to different specs due to the change in the geometry of the suspension parts.
Is that true or should I just take my car to some other place and get the car aligned to the factory specs? Well, I am going to have to take it some place else anyways because they could not get my car onto their machine ROFL Anyways I would still like to know if you guys think they were telling me the right thing or were they just talking crap?

Thanks,
Bali

Of the three aspects of alignment; camber, caster and toe, only toe is designed to be adjustable on a 2g DSM. Camber and toe are affected by lowering. Toe is adjustable at the alignment shop but you should determine if and how you will correct camber before you go.

Since you lowered your car to improve handling performance, you will want to have it aligned to optimize handling. Take it to a place that is willing to align it to your specifications.

I am aware of the 3 aspects of alignment and I do know that I would need a camber kit to be able to adjust camber on my car.
What I am trying to figure out is what specifications to get the car aligned to? Factory? Custom? If custom what specs exactly?
I want long tire life and improved handling in everyday use on paved roads.

Thanks,
Bali
