Servicing 99 gsx after coming out of storage for the winter..
Going to change all fluids.. oils coolance breaks clutch.
for the engine AMSoil 10w40 full synthetic w/ synthetic Lucas oil stabilizer
for the tranny Redline mt-90 w/ synthetic Lucas oil stabilizer
for the tcase and diff Redline Heavy shockproof w/ synthetic Lucas oil stabilizer (or is it supposed to be mt-90 in tcase?)
My questions is has anyone ran the Lucas stabilizer in the drivetrain components?
Ive used the stabilizer in my other vehicles and noticed a positive difference in performance but I know the DSM drivetrains are very touchy was wanting some feedback.
Also has anyone ran AMSoil gear oils in dsm?
thanks.

I think royal purple is a good one...how often does gear oil get changed I think the money is worth it

I will support redline fluids fully, the lucas isnt necessary and I think you defeat the purpose of multiweight oils using it to be honest. Does it work? Sure, but your 10w40 isnt going to be anywhere near that weight hot or cold. The only thing to watch is the gl4/gl5 thing since our synchros are brass.

And ams oil is pricey and kinda hard to track down being that it has to be purchased from a franchised dealer usually. I would look into Brad Penn oil, and I should have specified about the gl4/5. An additive in fluid certified as gl5 is corrosive to brass. It will eat the synchros. OMNOMNOM.

just did all fluids in gsx
Mobil 1 10w-30 3.5 quarts mobil 1 and .5 quarts lucas synth stabilzer (well see how it goes, first time wtih lucas)
readline mt90 for tranny
redline heavy shockproof for transfer case / diff

It's all a matter of opinion as to which oils you use. I've heard some mixed reviews on Lucas products and don't use them myself personally I tried the oil additive in a old dd Buick I had years ago and it did quiet it down some but I'm not sure how I feel about using it on a performance engine which is turboed. The gear oils out now for transmission components are also well enough on their own especially when using a good synthetic blend. I personally tend to use amsoil or penzoil synchromesh

Again it's all a matter of opinion there are so many myths among the facts of fluids that's it tough to weed out the facts. I would just use what works for you
