Gauges problem, wont lid up :(

Ok, when i baught the car the gauges that mark the rev+boost + fuel+oil pressure+speed blah blah they lid up and had this switch that i could change its colors from blue to green and a turnable button that i could make it brighter or not, now it doesnt lid up and im getting frustrated cuz it doesnt look neat plus i cant see S***t at night. I unscrewed the switch and checked the back for any disconnections ect...nothing.
Here is my real question, when i floor it when i shift (fast) the lights turn on for about a second and then shut off once again, any ideas?? My boost gauge and my air/fuel mix gauge work fine and do light up.

The GF just gets pissed if the lid's up, anyway.

As for the lights on your gauges, the cheeseball indiglos have died, as they all do.

Yeah, most likely you'l have to take the gauge panel out and replace them...

The interesting part though is when you mentioned that at high rpm/shift they'll lit up for a second, now... have you check for a wire making a false contact or bad grounding?
maybe when you're driving at high speed and shift the conection behind the gauges shakes and creates the conection work because something may be loose back there... you should check that. but be careful because clearance back there is very tight.
