Gas Light Problem

Hey, I finally changed my knock sensor the other day and I was really excited to have my CEL go away. However, since I did that, my dummy gas light has been on and I don't know why. Can anyone give some insight or suggestions as to what to check/do?

On a FWD, the low fuel light is controlled by a thermistor back at the fuel pump electrical connector under the back seat. You FWD guys have a seperate unit that controls the gauge and the idiot light (next to the fuel pump). Check the wires. There's not an individual fuse that I know of....

Not sure how changing the knock sensor could have messed this up, perhaps it's just unlucky coincidence

I can dig around and find the proper testing procedure for you if you'd like, but if you have a Haynes, I'm sure it tells you how to do this.

Yeah, I just filled up the tank and the the gauge still works fine. I'll check the hayne's manual and see how it goes.
