Fuel Rail Stupid Question

When I buy parts I always buy to handle more hp, but my question is if I put an 8an braided fuel line instead of a 6an, will I get less mpg? I wouldnt think so since its fuel injected/controlled by ecu, but havin a brain fart. Also would a wally 255 be able handle the wider hose? Its early and havent had any coffee.

Not by much id think. The line is still going to be the same diameter, just the fittings will be slightly larger.
And yes, the wally can handle pretty much anything you throw at it for now.

It will not affect your gas mileage at all. Your car strives for 14.7:1 A/F ratio while in closed loop. And in order to get that 14.7 A/F ratio it looks at your O2 sensor output and injects just enough fuel to maintain that ratio, regardless of size of fuel line.

The line is still going to be the same diameter, just the fittings will be slightly larger.

The hose will be larger to not just the inner diameter of the fittings. But thanks for the quick responses.

You're flowing more fuel to the rail but the usage limits will be determined by the injectors and the ECU/tuning. The idea of adding a bigger rail/injectors/pump is to make more power.... mileage be damned
