Alright guys, I have been going at this for a week now off and on where I can fit it in with my crazy work schedule. I still have more testing I can do, but I thought why not get some opinions from the experts. I have an AEM v1, a Walbro 450, and a fuel pump rewire kit. Everything has been fine now for a few months...then out of nowhere I crank up the car and within 10 seconds it dies....no fuel pressure.

I started testing a few things. I have power to the rewire kit relay with key on. I have good continuity to ground. I jumped power to the pump and it primes. I just don't have voltage from the stock power wire that switches the relay. I started turning my attention to the MPI relay and the AEM v1. I pull the relay and test the coils and it all seems okay except pins 10 and 8 are open (thought this was the issue). I pull the AEM and inspect the board....no physical damage. I hook up the stock ECU and CEL comes on and yet still no prime (I read 1gs dont prime until cranking with stock ECU so that test is probably invalid).

I had another MPI relay on the way...hooked it up just a bit ago with the AEM and no prime. I am going to run all tests again from front to back, but this one is a bit strange (im probably just missing something obvious) because everything seems in order except the AEM grounding the fuel pump circuit. Got any ideas? I will keep testing this weekend and i'm sure i'll find it but I would have sworn it was the MPI relay based on my testing but the "new" one didn't fix it. I tested the coil on pin 10 and 8 and it has continuity but is 5 megaohms (the original MPI relay was completely open).

Is it possible I got another bad MPI relay? This is the pinout I'm going by:

Any ideas are greatly appreciated! Otherwise i'll report back when I figure this out.

Let me add that the only reason I am going down this path is that with the AEM the pump has always primed at key on. If it was stock ECU I know it doesn't prime until the engine turns over. I guess I could jump power to the pump and see if it starts up. I just need to get some thicker wire...i'll burn up what I was jumping it with.
